Keller ATA Book Club
Thursdays at 3 PM on Zoom
Ms. Mary started the book club to help our students socialize during the pandemic. We still meet every Thursday on Zoom at 3 PM — and we've read over 35 books!
We typically read Young Adult Fiction with adventure, sci-fi, mystery and fantasy themes. Our readers are mostly homeschooled, but during the summer the club expands to all students.
We encourage everyone to join, whether they read the books or listen to them. We all experience the book, no matter the method.
Parent approval is required to participate.
Cool fact
A thank-you from Christopher Paolini
After reading the first two books in the Inheritance Cycle, we reached out to Christopher Paolini to thank him for such well-written adventures.
He responded by sending everyone in our book club an autographed bookmark! He is such a genuine person and the kids loved it.
A recent pick
The Unteachables
The Unteachables by Gordon Korman — for reading ages 10–12 and grades 3–7. Members read a few chapters ahead of each meeting and bring two questions to discuss.
Ask Ms. Mary what the club is reading now.
